Overview
The formal public exhibition period for the Preliminary Draft Master Plans (PDMP) and Preliminary Draft Airport Environment Strategies (PDAES) for Sydney Metro Airports Bankstown and Camden closed on 18 December 2009.
Thank you to those people including customers, elected representatives, stakeholders, government agencies and members of the community who have provided submissions.
Our next step was to consider all submissions received in relation to the PDMP’s and PDAES’ and prepare our draft documents. The draft documents and the submissions were lodged for consideration to the Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, in March 2010.
The PDMP is available to download from our website, as are a range of documents to support the Preliminary Draft Master Plans and Environment Strategies. They include:
Bankstown Airport Preliminary Draft Master Plan Quick Reference GuideBankstown Airport Guide to Understanding Aviation Noise & Noise ForecastsRevised ANEF for Bankstown Airport
Since the Preliminary Draft Plan was developed and released in September 2009, we have been able to revise our noise forecasts. The revised noise forecasts further reduce the impact on the surrounding community.
On 16 February 2011 the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport advised he would not approve the Bankstown Airport draft Master Plan 2010. A copy of our response is available
here.
Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown has now received an extension to lodge a revised draft Master Plan on or before 15 February 2013.
Until a new Preliminary Draft Master Plan is developed, the
2005 Master Plan remains in force.
