Camden Airport Seeks Members for Community Forum

12 January 2011

Camden Airport Limited today announced it seeking formal applications from members of the Camden community to join its Community Aviation Consultation Group (CACACG).

“The Camden Group will follow the widely emulated model of the Bankstown Forum, with an independent chairperson and five (5) members. We expect the Forum will meet twice a year in Camden

“The role of the Group is to enable stakeholders to be consulted in respect of the airports planning processes and issues relating to the ongoing management of the Airport in a constructive and effective manner.

The Camden Airport Community Aviation Consultation Group seeks to:

  • Assist in resolving and prioritising issues based on local knowledge.
  • Present the views of the broader community.
  • Review drafts of development plans and provide comment.
  • Brief the community on the development and operation of the Airport.
  • Table at meetings the views of community-based organisations and the broader community.

“We encourage interested people to review the Camden Airport Master Plan 2010, the Camden Airport Environment Strategy 2010 and the Camden Airport Community Consultative Forum Charter & Procedures 2010 which are all available on our website,” concluded Mr Grove.
